Zirconium Coating
Zirconium Coating
It is both a medical and aesthetic procedure applied to patients who do not have enough tooth tissue or who do not like the aesthetically whiter or the shape of their own teeth, by reducing the tooth by certain amounts (at least 1.5 mm) all around. It is performed under local anesthesia, eliminating the patient’s sense of pain. After the tooth is reduced, a temporary tooth is made from an acrylic material specially prepared in the laboratory. This ensures that the patient does not have sensitivity and can continue their daily life until their real teeth come.

Zirconium Coating are made in the following order; First, a substructure trial is performed. It is checked that the teeth exactly match the gum borders and at the same time, the vertical dimension is adjusted from the patient’s profile. This prevents the patient’s midface from being lower or higher than it should be, preventing an aged appearance. Then, when the finishing phase is reached, the color and shape of the tooth are checked with the patient. We meet at a common point and make the necessary adjustments. First, it is temporarily bonded and the patient is expected to get used to it for about 7-10 days. After making sure of everything, it is permanently bonded. Regular checks are made for gum health, first for 6 months and then once a year.
